On Nov. 18, Europe-based Airbus' first Asian logistics center was put into service in Tianjin. The president of Airbus China Bo Long said that the logistics center will optimize the supply chain management of its industrial cooperation projects in China, indicating that the industrial cooperation between Airbus and China is deepening.

The Airbus (Tianjin) Logistics Center is located in the Comprehensive Bonded Zone within the Airport Economic Zone of the Tianjin Binhai New Area, which is close to the Tianjin Airbus A320 Final Assembly Line.

The area of its storehouse covers more than 10,000 square meters. Currently, many Chinese aviation enterprises have participated in manufacturing components and parts of Airbus planes, and the logistics center will be the transportation and logistics management hub for Airbus and its parent company European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company's supply chain in China.

The logistics center has also started offering services for two other projects in the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, which are the A320 wing assembly project jointly carried out by Airbus and Xi'an Aircraft International Corporation, and the A320 wing slat assembly project carried out by Sinaisen Aircraft Structure (Tianjin) Corporation. The wing slats produced by the corporation are delivered to the Xi'an Aircraft International Corporation, which assembles them into wings and then delivers the wings to the Tianjin Final Assembly Line.
