China's central firms donated 1.7 bln RMB this year

Beijing, Nov.16 (People's Daily Online) --As of September, overseas donations of 92 Chinese central enterprises reached about 1.7 billion yuan, according to statistical data released by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission on Nov. 14.

Relief donations totaled more than 560 million yuan, accounting for 33 percent, while public welfare donations totaled 976 million yuan, accounting for 58 percent, and other donations, 154 million yuan, accounting for 9 percent of the total donation.

Shenhua Group, PetroChina and Sinopec ranked in the top three in terms of overseas donation, with 598 million yuan, 240 million yuan and 98 million yuan, respectively.
