China's rice harvest sees eighth yearly increase

Beijing, Nov.8 (People's Daily Online) -- According to China's Ministry of Agriculture, total rice production this year is expected to exceed 550 billion kilograms. It will realize the yearly increase in eight consecutive years as well as setting new records in both yield per unit and total.
