Fan Chunyong, deputy head of the China Industrial Overseas Development and Planning Association, said at China's foreign investment cooperation seminar on Aug. 30 that China has leapt to fifth place in terms of foreign investment.

According to data from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, China's outward foreign direct investment totaled 67.8 billion dollars in 2010, with an increase of 41 percent compared to 2009, and it broke through 300 billion dollars by the end of 2010.

In accordance with the increase rate of China's outward foreign direct investment, the investment flow will reach 100 billion dollars in 2013, and the capital stock will come up to 500 billion dollars. The proportion between overseas investment and attracted foreign investment will rise from 1-to-2 to 1-to-1 around 2015.
