16:13, August 22, 2011

VLADIVOSTOK, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Firefighters and rescuers have extinguished all forest fires in Russia's Far East after reining in the last wildfires in the region in the past 24 hours, authorities said Monday.

By Monday morning, no incident of forest fire was reported in the region.

Wildfires in Russia's forested regions are common during the dry and hot summer season. Most of the time, fires are caused by the negligence of local residents in the woods.
