MOSCOW, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- At least five people were killed in a traffic accident in downtown Moscow Wednesday when a car collided with two other cars, local police said.
The Mercedes, driven by a popular Russian theater actor Nikita Yemshanov, went into the wrong lane and hit two cars head-on, RBC news agency reported, citing the police source.
The actor and two other people died on the spot, while two more died when being rushed to the hospital, the police said.
According to the report, Yemshanov was driving after an overnight party for celebration of his 28th birthday.
Three injured people remained in a hospital in serious conditions, police said.
