1 dead, 6 wounded in S Philippines blast

One person was killed, while six others were injured when a bomb exploded Tuesday in the southern Philippine city of Cotabato, a military spokesman said.

Col. Prudencio Asto, spokesman for the Army's 6th Infantry Division, said the blast occurred at around 2:10 p.m. local time, inside a gunstore in Parang Road.

All casualties were rushed to a nearby hospital. Military officials are still investigating the incident.
