Tajik artist Kurbanov holds exhibition in Beijing

Tajikistan Ambassador to China Mr. Rashid Alimov (C) spoke at the opening ceremony.

On Aug. 1, the art exhibition "Tajikistan: The Pearl of the Silk Road " of Tajik artist Sukhrob Kurbanov was held at art gallery of China Central Academy of Fine Arts. Tajikistan Ambassador to China Mr. Rashid Alimov and Secretary-general of China-Central Asia Friendship Association Ms. Lu Aizhen attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition will last three days from Aug. 1 to 3. The 50 pieces of works cover still life, landscape and portrait which are created by Kurbanov when he travelled in China.

Kurbanov's works are collected in numerous museums around the world. Many world-famous figures including former U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan are collectors of his works.
