Shooting rampage in Toronto leaves 2 dead, 22 more injured

TORONTO, July 17 (Xinhua) --- Two people were killed and 22 others injured in a shooting rampage ensuing a dispute at a large outdoor party in Toronto, Canada, Monday evening, local police sources confirmed Tuesday.

The two victims who were fatally shot in the mass shooting included a teenage girl and a 20-year-old man who died at the scene, said the police sources.

According to the police sources, 19 of the injured people also sustained injuries from gunshots, and another three were trampled on while partygoers attempted to flee when throngs of bullets were sprayed into the crowd of more than 200 people.

Police has detained one suspect in connection with the shooting. Search for other fugitives was underway.
