AMMAN, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Some 25,000 Jordanians and activists from different countries took part in a demonstration in the Jordan Valley on Friday as part of the Global March to Jerusalem.

During the demonstration, which took place near Jordan's borders with the West Bank, the participants called for the liberation of the Palestinian territories and chanted slogans in support of Jerusalem.

Activists from more than 50 countries took part in the demonstration, according to organizers, who called for solidarity among the Arabs and Muslims to support the steadfastness of the Palestinians in Jerusalem.

Some participants, who condemned the Israeli violations against the Palestinians, called for severing ties between Jordan and Israel. Several rabbis also took part in the demonstration.
