ISLAMABAD, Feb. 29 (Xinhua) -- Two doctors of Korean nationality were kidnapped by unknown people in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Wednesday morning, reported local media.

Local Urdu TV channel Geo said that the two doctors were kidnapped while they were on their way in their car to work in the Orangi town of Karachi.

Both of the kidnapped doctors are male and they work for a South-Korea-run hospital in the city, said the report.

Other details about the incident are not immediately available.

Militants in Pakistan often kidnap foreigners for ransom. Wednesday's incident is the third of its kind reported in the country since this year.
