BANGKOK, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia on Wednesday detained an Iranian man suspected of involving in the series of bomb attacks in Bangkok's Klongtan district on Tuesday, Thai media reported.

Masoud Sedaghatzadeh was arrested at about 3 p.m. in Kuala Lumpur after the Thai authorities gave information and identity of the suspect to Malaysian counterpart, English newspaper The Nation quoted a Thai security official as saying.

Sedaghatzadeh was among four suspects involved in three blasts that injured five people, including the suspect, in Bangkok on Tuesday. He had planned to board a flight from the Malaysian capital to Tehran before he was arrested.

Four foreigners fled after an explosion in the rented house Tuesday in downtown Bangkok. One of them, identified as Saeid Moradi, threw a bomb at a taxi after the driver refused to take him, injuring the driver and three pedestrians. Then he threw a bomb at a police car but it bounced back and blew up in front of him, according to police accounts.

Saeid Moradi lost his legs in the blast and is being treated in a local hospital.

Another suspect Mohammad Hazaei was taken into custody at Suvarnabhumi Airport while attempting to board a plane to Malaysia. He denied involvement in the explosions.

The fourth suspect, a woman who rented the house where explosives were found, is still at large.
