Flood-hit cars to be scrapped

Workers disassemble cars damaged by the floods at the Honda Automobile Plant in Rojana Industrial Park in Ayutthaya, about 80 kilometers north of Bangkok, yesterday.

Honda vows to get rid of all vehicles and parts which arrived on October 8 and were submerged in floodwaters. A total of 1,055 vehicles will be demolished in an environmentally friendly way which includes compressing the body and recycling the aluminium and rubber parts.
