BETHLEHEM, West Bank, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Jouda Saturday condemned Israel's actions on Islamic and Christian religious sites in Jerusalem.

"Jordan will always defy any aggression against the holy city," Jouda said when attending a Christmas supper at the Nativity Church in the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

The foreign minister had earlier met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the efforts to revive the peace process with Israel.

"The King of Jordan has a belief that the Palestinian people will ultimately retrieve their full rights," Jouda said after the meeting.

Direct peace talks between the Palestinians and Israel have been stalled in October four weeks after they had started under the auspice of the United States.
