TEHRAN, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast on Tuesday denied earlier reports that Iran had suspended trade transactions with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to the ministry's website.
Iran's semi-official Mehr news agency reported earlier Tuesday that Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Commerce Mehdi Ghzanfari ordered to stop all kinds of trade transactions with the UAE late Monday.
Mehr said the decision was supposedly made due to the UAE's anti-Iran stances.
"This is not true," Mehmanparast said, referring to the reports.
The spokesman said that Ghzanfari "has not had any interview in this regard."
He confirmed that the website of Iran's ministry of industry, mines and commerce had encountered technical problems.
