Fire leaves six victims in south France

PARIS, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Six women were found dead on Wednesday after a fire ravaged a retirement home in Marseille, south of France, local media reported.

According to the report, six victims died of asphyxiation, while 15 others wounded, three of them in a serious situation.

The blaze broke out at around 2:30 a.m. local time (0130 GMT) in a retirement home which hosts 180 old people for some unknown reasons.

An inquiry was carried out to determine the actual causes of the fire.
