HONOLULU, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Barack Obama on Saturday evening hosted leaders from economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in a welcome dinner.

The leaders are in Honolulu for their annual APEC economic leaders' meeting.

The leaders and their spouses were welcomed by Obama and the U.S. First Lady in an arrival ceremony before the dinner.

The theme of the Hawaii APEC summit is "Toward a Seamless Regional Economy," with three specific priority areas -- strengthening regional economic integration and expanding trade, promoting green growth, and advancing regulatory coherence and co-operation.
