Japan restarts nuclear reactor

Beijing, Nov.3 (People's Daily Online) -- The No. 4 reactor of the Genkai Nuclear Power Plant resumed operations at 3 p.m. yesterday, Kyushu Electric Power Co. announced on Wednesday.

The No. 4 reactor, which was suspended due to human error, is the first nuclear reactor that has been restarted since the Fukushima disaster in March.

The reactor is expected to reach its normal level of power generation on Nov. 4.

The Kyushu Electric Power Co. claimed that the reactor will be suspended for regular inspections by mid-December.
