Qaddafi is killed, with bullet wound to the head

Still image from TV shows Libya's fallen leader Muammar Gaddafi in Sirte, Libya, Oct. 20, 2011. Muammar Gaddafi died of his wounds on Thursday, a National Transitional Council (NTC) field commander told Xinhua. The allegation on Gaddafi's death has not yet been officially confirmed by the NTC. (Xinhua)

Muammar Qaddafi, the ruler of Libya for more than 40 years, was killed yesterday after hiding in a filthy drainage in his hometown city of Sirte. However, the disturbing images of a blood-stained and shaken leader dragged around by angry fighters prior his death led the world to wonder who pulled the trigger.

The Mideast television Al Jazeera showed footage of Qaddafi, bloodied but alive, as he was dragged around by armed men on the streets in Sirte.

Later, the TV network broadcast a separate clip of his upper body, partly stripped, with eyes staring vacantly and an apparent gunshot wound to the head, as jubilant fighters fired automatic weapons in the air.

A third video, posted on Youtube, showed excited fighters hovering around his bloody but motionless body, posing for photographs, and some fighters yanked his limp head up and down by the hair.

The exact circumstances of his demise are still unclear with conflicting accounts of his death emerging. But the footage, possibly of the last chaotic moments of Gaddafi's life, offered some clues into what happened.

Gaddafi was still alive when he was captured. In the video, filmed by a bystander in the crowd and later aired on television, Gaddafi is shown being dragged off a vehicle's bonnet and pulled to the ground by his hair.

"Keep him alive, keep him alive!" someone shouts. Gunshots then ring out. The camera veers off.

Now, if they can do the same to that murderous and barbaric Bashir Assad of Syria. He deserves to be not just shot but dragged through the steets and lynched on a lampost. That must be the epitaph for a man who ordered troops to shoot its own citizens - children, women, and old men.

A great lesson to Iran, NKorea, Pakistan, middle-east and South America countries. Qaddafi make the greatest mistake of cooperating with the evil Western countries thinking that they will spare him by not invading Libya after the invasion of Iraq. He make the greatest mistake of compensating billion of dollars for the crash of the Pan Am Lockerbie crash when he knew very well that the crash got nothing to do with Libya. Why I said Libya got nothing to do with the PanAm crash ? Because Scotland had released Abdelbaset al-Megrahi , (the only person that was initially said to be responsible for the bombing by Scotland ). After thorough investigation for more than 8 years by Scotland he is found to be not the man responsible for the bombing. But Scotland cannot admit that they got the wrong man after so many years. To say so openly to the whole world will make them a laughing stock. So the next best thing is to release him on compassionate ground due to his “illness”. But does he really got an illness ? He is still alive after his release in 2009. In short, Gaddafi would still be around if he process nuclear weapons like NKorea. This is the sad truth for all small countries.

Well the tyrant is dead, Lybia is freed, but the UN wants to investigate the gun shot head wound of Gadhafi for reason of transparency. It sounds a bit of crocodile"s tears, the moment UN let NATO to hunt Gadhafi, UN already declared he is guilty, now its only execution of the verdict, any investigation is only for academic record. and whatis next for Lybia and her oil?

Whatever mistakes Gaddafi made, whatever misdeeds he may have committed, pales into insignificance compared to the horrific, barbaric crimes committed by NATO and many of the rebels. If this was a sane world Obama, Hilliary, Cameron, Sarkosy and Harper would be on trial for war crimes, genocide, crimes against humanity. The misery of the Libyan people won’t end for decades as they discover what life is like under Western dictators. The Libyan people didn’t gain their freedom, they lost it. My sincerest condolences to Gaddafi’s family, supporters, and all those who suffered.
