Acting PM of Nepal expresses sorrow over fatal plane crash

KATHMANDU, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Nepal's acting Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar expressed his deep sorrow over the demise of 19 people aboard a Buddha Air plane which crashed Sunday morning near the capital Kathmandu.

Gachchhadar sent his heartfelt condolence to the families and relatives of those killed in the accident.

Those killed in the crash include 10 Indian, one Japanese, two American and three Nepalese passengers along with three Nepali crew members, Buddha Air confirmed.

The cause of the crash is believed to be adverse weather conditions. According to an official from the weather forecast department, the visibility at the crash site was minimum because of heavy fog and rain.

Rescuers found a thirty-six-year-old Nepali alive but he died on the way to hospital.
