COPENHAGEN, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Danish Foreign Ministry on Wednesday said seven Danes held by Somali pirates since February had been released and were in good conditions.

It is not yet known if a ransom was paid to have them freed.

The Danes, including a family of five and two other adults, were captured by pirates while sailing off Somalia's coast on Feb. 24.
