SYDNEY, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- An alleged drug dealer was arrested on Thursday while trying to sell two kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in a Sydney car park, Australia's New South Wales (NSW) Police said on Friday.

Following a lengthy investigation into the supply of crystal meth in inner Sydney, a heavily armed tactical police unit arrested the 34-year-old man at a shopping center car park in Beamish Street, Campsie, the inner west suburb of Sydney, on Thursday afternoon, police said.

Police seized the drug ice worth almost 500,000 U.S. dollars in the car park.

Officers also raided two properties in the suburbs of Belmore and Lakemba in southwest Sydney and seized a number of items as part of the same investigation.

The man was charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of prohibited drugs.

He has been refused bail to face local court on Friday.
