SEOUL, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- South Korean President Lee Myung-bak is expected to announce a minor Cabinet reshuffle in a day or two, reports said Monday.

Lee plans to replace three Cabinet ministers holding parliamentary seats prior to the September plenary parliamentary session in order to prepare for general elections next year.

Subject to the reshuffle are minister without portfolio Lee Jae- oh, health minister Chin Soo-hee and culture minister Choung Byoung-guk.

Lee is also reportedly considering replacing unification minister Hyun In-taek.

Chairman of the ruling Grand National Party Hong Joon-pyo reportedly asked the president to replace Hyun, a former professor known for his hard-line stance against the DPRK.
