Nepali president to administer oath of office and secrecy to newly elected PM

KATHMANDU, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Nepali President Ram Baran Yadav will administer the oath of office and secrecy to newly elected Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Monday afternoon, according to Baman Prasad Neupane, secretary at the office of the President.

Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Nembang formally informed the President that Bhattarai was elected the Prime Minister in Sunday's election held in the legislature-parliament.

Bhattarai is the 35th prime minister of the country and the fourth prime minister after the country was declared a federal democratic republic in 2008. Bhattarai secured 340 votes out of 594 in the Constituent Assembly.
