EU to prepare for post-Gaddafi administration of Libya: Spokesman

BRUSSELS, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) - The European Union (EU) on Monday said it was planning for a post-Gaddafi administration for Libya, as rebels forces pushed into the heart of the Libyan capital Tripoli.

The EU urged the rebels to act with responsibility and protect the civilian in Tripoli, and called on the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to step down without delay, Michael Mann, a spokesman for the EU's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton told media.
