BEIJING, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 05:36:32 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey, monitored here, said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 43.60 km, was initially determined to be at 37.6732 degrees north latitude and 141.7156 degrees east longitude.
