Li Xiguang, Journalism professor from Tsinghua University, once pointed out in 2002 that Internet should be protected by copyright and intellectual property laws, and "people should bear legitimate responsibilities when writing on Internet".

It is a great flaw of current laws for neglecting Internet information. Internet is of amazing speed in transferring information. Though some company can win a suit following legislative procedure, netizens have already seen the negative news in this period. This will do great harm to the company’s brand, even make it lose market share.

A company can find posts, but it can't find cyber writers, so it can't protect itself with laws. Many such cases show that this vicious Internet attack has been very popular. But the victim companies always could do nothing if they miss the right timing.

Though the government has launched laws protecting companies'Internet fame, the executive force is not that strong. So many companies can't resort to laws when suffer from such problems.
