Organizers of the Shaanxi Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo have launched test run rehearsals to check operation preparations.

Robots made to resemble Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) and his consort Yang Yuhuan welcome visitors to the pavilion together with an actor and actress in similar costumes.

Historical relics and imperial palaces will be another highlight of the pavilion, which is decked out in gold and red.

Jing Junhai, vice governor of Shaanxi Province, attended the rehearsal and delivered a speech.
