Netizen "Chen Qinggui"

Even if the controversy surrounding the "sex theme park" and the fact that its construction was not approved by the relevant authority are considered the reason behind its demolition order, the reason is not sufficient. In other words, this reason is neither convincing nor completely in accordance with the law.

Since the trial operation of the "sex theme park" commenced on May 1, it has received more than 1,000 tourists per day. What is the actual theme for the construction of this park? A manager at the park said that in contrast with foreign countries, "sex" has always seemed very mysterious in the eyes of Chinese, with a "do not talk about it to others" ideological taboo.

The main aim of the sex theme park is to provide scientific, healthy and interesting sex education through the exhibition and display of graphics, text and sculpture. There are also plans to introduce multimedia technology teaching visitors how to become a better spouse, and helping people become aware of important sex-related issues and diseases.

He also stressed that the park will avoid vulgar photos and contents. Reporters learned that during the trial operation over the May Day holiday, the park charged five yuan admission, and received over 5,000 visitors within just a few days.

The operator of the park said it will get various approvals from relevant authorities before formally opening the park for visitors, at which point it will charge 50 yuan admission. It is clear that the operator and regulator have differences in understanding the implication of "vulgar and harmful contents".
