Today and Yesterday: changes in 30 years of China's reform and opening up
  From 1978 to 2008, China has been witness to a glorious 30 years of reform and opening up. During these 30 years, China's economic and social development as well as urban and rural living standards have seen unprecedented boom. It has been during these 30 years that the Chinese nation has welcomed a great rejuvenation and enhancement of its international influence. Here, we would like to go through some memories of the past 30 years.  

During the past 30 years, people have witnessed tremendous changes in clothing.

People born at the end of 1960s were wearing the clothes passed down by their parents in primary school.

After the breeze of reform blowing through China in 1978, private ownership began to occur. People would sell colorful but cheaper clothes near state-owned shops, bringing more options to the public. The most impressive thing is that young people began to wear bell-bottom pants, demonstrating their pursuit of fashion. More>>
