According to the latest statistics released by the accredited media research institute CSM on August 25, there were 0.658 billion Chinese audiences watching the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics live on TV. This symbolized the perfect ending of the Beijing Olympics.
The Olympics' closing ceremony on August 24 started in open and relaxed. The statistics shows that 53.7% of Chinese audiences watched the closing; and the rate of viewing for more than one hour is as high as 33.9%.
During the Olympics, 28% more city audiences watched TV programs than before. And more than 0.6 billion watched three major balls, athletics, table tennis, gymnastics, diving, badminton, weightlifting and swimming.
