Day 9: Bessonova sweeps five golds for Ukraine, divers add three for China
Ukranian beauty Anna Bessonova shone in the rhythmic gymnastics finals in Bangkok on Friday by sweeping rope, hoop, ribbon, clubs and group competition (ropes 5) titles at Bangkok Universiade.
Editor's note: The 24th Universiade Bangkok 2007 will be held from Aug. 8 to 18. A total of 236 gold medals will be produced from 18 sport events in the 10-day Games.

• After the successful Championship year of 2006, with a record breaking number of 26 World University Championships all over the globe, FISU and its staff is getting ready for another Universiade year in 2007, with the Winter Universiade in Torino, Italy and the Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, uniting once more high level student-athletes.
