Data from the tourism office of the Chinese embassy in New York shows that the number of American tourists in China reached 2 million in 2010, according to the China News Service on April 7.

Zhang Xinhong, director of the tourism office of the Chinese embassy in New York, said that they will further make efforts in New York to attract tourists from the United States and even from the entire world to travel to China in 2011.

The tourism office of the Chinese embassy in New York introduced an impressive 84-day ad called "2011 Chinese Culture Tour" on buses in New York on April 6, 2011 to highlight China's 2011 overseas tourism promotion theme confirmed by the China National Tourism Administration.

Ten buses covered with Chinese tourism images, such as the Great Wall and Beijing Opera masks, have been on the streets of New York since April and transmit the message of "China welcomes you" to New Yorkers and tourists from all over the world.
