Chinese companies donate for quake-hit areas in Japan

The Suzhou Municipal Red Cross Society has received 1.1 million yuan in donations for Japan's earthquake-hit areas from companies in Jiangsu Province, according to the Red Cross Society of China (RCSC).

The donations include 225,657 yuan from Mabuchi Motors (Jiangsu), 140,000 yuan from Jiuyu Electronics (Suzhou), and 100,000 yuan each from Jiangsu Fujitsu Telecommunications Technology, Kubota Agri-machinery (Suzhou), Ruizhen Bicycle Components (T.C.) and Ruiquan Lathe Materials (Taicang),

The RCSC Suzhou Branch had remitted 1 million yuan of donations to its superior department on April 2 and the RCSC will finally remit all the donations to Japan.

Earlier, Sichuan Dongfang Turbine Company donated 400,000 yuan to the Deyang Municipal Red Cross Society.

The donations will specially be allocated to earthquake-affected Automotive System Group of Hitachi Ltd. On March 24, the RCSC Sichuan Branch transferred 1 million yuan of donations to the Japanese Red Cross Society through the Consulate-General of Japan at Chongqing.
