China's Tibetologist delegation to Estonia delivered a special speech on the Tibet issue at Tallinn University of Technology in Tallinn, capital of Estonia, on April 4, and gave an overview of the development of the Tibet Autonomous Region over recent years.

The delegation also conducted broad exchanges with Estonians from all walks of life on issues such as China's ethnic minority group policies and human rights.

Hao Shiyuan, head of the delegation and deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, used graphs and texts to briefly discuss Tibet's economic and social development, ethnic autonomy policies and China's western development strategy before answering questions raised by the faculty and students.

On April 3, the Chinese Tibetologist delegation organized by the Information Office of the State Council arrived in Estonia and held talks with several Estonian members of congress.

The delegation also met with Estonia's deputy foreign minister and other officials on April 4. Muneyasu, a member of the delegation and a living Buddha of the Kumbum Monastery, talked about the lives and religious activities of Tibetans near the Kumbum Monastery.

On April 5, the delegation paid a visit to Tartu, the second largest city of Estonia, and made a special speech on the Tibet issue at long-established University of Tartu.
