China now monitoring water in border rivers

China has begun monitoring the water quality in border rivers, such as those along the China-Russia border and China-Vietnam border.

About 78 river cross sections from 41 border rivers have been included into the surface water environment monitoring system since 2009. The monitoring record should be reported every month since last January.
