Rare, ancient settlement of Dian Culture found in Yunnan

An ancient settlement site containing ancient tombs and ancient houses was found recently in Chengjiang County of southwest China's Yunnan Province. It is a rare settlement site with the characteristics of the ancient Dian culture, which will help fill a gap in the history of ancient Dian culture.

Currently, 20 house sites and 20 tombs have been excavated. More than 100 artifacts, including characteristic and precious bronze wares and stone wares were unearthed.
The settlement site is estimated to cover an area of thousands of square meters in total and the preliminary excavation covered an area of 1,900 square meters.
