A mirage appears above the sea level in the north of Haikou City on May 9. At around 4 p.m., a mirage was seen along the coast of Haikou City and it lasted about one hour.
A mirage is a kind of optical phenomenon. In the middle of the spring and the summer or between the summer and the fall, the sky is perfectly cloudless.
During these periods, the layers of the air and the sea water always have huge temperature differences. With the water colder than the air, the layer of the air close to the water becomes greatly different from the higher layer of the air in the sky in intensity.
