Annual Esala Great Parade kicks off in Sri Lanka

As one of the biggest Buddhist celebrations in Sri Lanka, the annual Esala Perahera during which elephants, drummers, dancers and acrobats parade along the streets of Kandy, is held for ten days in the months of July or August.
