Physically-challenged French Ironman finishes triathlon in nine hours

At the Long Distance Triathlon of the 2011 Weihai International Triathlon Union on June 12, 2011, physically-challenged French athlete Etienne Caprin, drew a lot of attention from the audience. Starting at 9 a.m., he spent nine hours and 16 minutes completing the triathlon by means of a hand-propelled tricycle and a tricycle wheelchair.
Caprin had been a cyclist before his leg was injured in 1984. After that, he started to work on the Ironman triathlon. He has won five championships in the physical disabilities group of the International Triathlon Union.
