Brett Favre, the oldest starting quarterback in NFL play-off history, is hungry for another Super Bowl, according to reports.

The 40-year-old man had been expected to retire this summer, but defeat by Super Bowl winners the New Orleans Saints in the play-offs last season brought him back to NFL. Favre joined his Vikings teammates at practice Wednesday.

"I'd love to win a Super Bowl," said Favre. "I owe it to this organization to give it one more try."

"As we were driving on that last drive it seemed like it was destiny — for us," Favre said. "I was so close, so close to getting these guys to the Super Bowl."

Favre is still in recovery from surgery on his ankle this summer. "There was nothing on me 100% last year or the year before. But the surgeries, I think, have made me a little better."

Favre has played in the Super Bowl twice, winning Super Bowl XXI in 1997 with the Green Bay Packers.
