Barcelona's goalkeeper Victor Valdes (L) and his team mate Lionel Messi celebrate winning the La Liga title after beating Valladolid at Nou Camp stadium in Barcelona, May 16, 2010. Barcelona retained their La Liga title with a 4-0 win.
Barcelona won straight Spanish La Liga title on Sunday by crushing Valladolid 4-0 at Camp Nou stadium in the closing game of the 2009/10 season, which is the 20th domestic championship for the club.
Lionel Messi scored twice in the second half, following Luis Prieto's own-goal and a goal from Pedro Rodriguez before halftime.
Barcelona finished the season with a record Spanish league tally of 99 points from 38 games.
Messi's goals took his league tally to 34 this season, equaling the club record set by Brazil's Ronaldo in 1996/97.
Real Madrid drew 1-1 at Malaga to finish three points behind Barcelona.
It is the second straight season that Madrid has failed to win a major trophy despite spending more than 250 million euros (309 million dollars) on players.
