Soon-to-be Thai PM announces success in forming five-party coalition gov't

Yingluck Shinawatra, the soon-to-be first female prime minister of Thailand from Pheu Thai Party announced on Monday her party succeeded in forming a coalition government with four other parties.

The coalition government will then be composed of five parties, namely Pheu Thai Party, Chartthaipattana Party, Chart Pattana Puea Pandin party, Palangchon and Mahachon, making the coalition government having 299 of 500 House seats.

"299 is a good number," Yingluck said.
