Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika (4th R) chairs a ceremony marking the International Women's Day in Algiers, Algeria, on March 8, 2011. The ceremony took place at the Palace of the Nation in honour of the Algerian woman. It was attended by moudjahidate (women war veterans), civil society representatives, members of Parliament and intellectual women. (Xinhua/Mohamed Kadri)
