North Korea celebrated leader Kim Jong Il's 69th birthday on Wednesday in festivities in the capital Pyongyang.Commemorating the birthday, citizens, military personnel and others laid flowers and floral baskets before a bronze statue of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il's father and the country's founder, on Mansu Hill.
