Explosion injures two policemen in Quetta, Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Two policemen were injured in a remote-controlled explosion in southwest Pakistani city of Quetta on Tuesday, local media reported.

According to Urdu TV Duniya report, a local police van was on its routine patrol around the city when a remote-controlled bomb went off near it.

A police official and another policeman were wounded in the blast and the car was partially destroyed.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Earlier, on Feb. 2 some unidentified militants opened fire on a police van in the very same area killing five policemen.
