Image provided by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) shows the Northern Board Shrine of the Temple of the Sun, in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico, on Feb. 8, 2011. After the recovery and reinstatement of two fragments of the Northern Board Shrine of the Temple of the Sun, epigrapher Guillermo Bernal Romero identified the name Wak[...]nal B'ahlam Ch'aaj Il Sibik Kan, a presumed unknown son of the famous Mayan ruler Pakal II, as informed by authorities from the INAH.
