A man and his son go skiing in Davos, Switzerland, Jan. 27, 2011. Located on the Landwasser River in the Swiss Alps, Davos owns a permanent population of about 13,000 and a height of 1,529 meters, which makes it the highest town in Alps mountain areas. As compared to "the biggest ski resorts of Europe", Davos is much more famous for its host to the annual World Economic Forum which attracts elites from government, academic, media, cultural and other fields all over the world.
