Rescue work was carried out at the site of a train derailment in west Bengal state, India, May 28. Thirteen carriages of an express passenger train fell off the track and collided with an ongoing freight train in the state of West Bengal, leaving at least 148 killed and some 200 injured. Indian police held that there was evidence that the tracks had been tempered with by local anti-government forces.
