Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa talks with residents in the north district of Kilinochchi, Sri Lanka, July 14, 2010. Rajapaksa visited some areas of the district on Wednesday after chairing the first ever meeting of the cabinet of ministers held at Kilinochchi, the former administrative capital of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). The government said the Kilinochchi cabinet meeting demonstrated the government's readiness to take the development to former battle zones after the war with the rebels ended in May 2009. (Xinhua)
